With deep sadness: The passing of a beloved colleague, Mr. John R. Hall, Vice-President

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of John R. Hall, a beloved member of our soccer family. John passed away suddenly Saturday, January 26.

John recently held the position of Vice-President of our board of directors. He was a long-time member of the Association, a dedicated volunteer for 30+ years. John was also the responsible for the U19+ Senior division, managing our numerous recreational and competitive Senior teams, including our Adult Coed soccer program, and coaches his own division 4 men’s soccer team.

Over his many years of invaluable service as a volunteer, John was extremely generous with his time, helping to plan, organize and being present at virtually all club events in addition to serving on our board and running the Senior division. John was a beloved colleague, friend and mentor, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him, including board members, staff and a multitude of coaches and players.

It is difficult to express in words the value of an individual such as John and the heartfelt admiration, appreciation and gratitude the association feels; we fear it would never quite do him justice. The association will honor John in a special way so that his memory will always be a part of the soccer family he helped build.

To John’s wife, Maria, and his entire family, we offer our sincere, heartfelt condolences.

John, from all your colleagues, friends, coaches and players, we thank you for the person that you were and all that you did. You will not be forgotten.
